On May 5, the Norchester Garden Club ladies enjoyed lunch together to celebrate the installation of officers for the next year.
Information in support of NGC, the gardens of Matzke Park, and our home gardens. A 501c3, Association for Better Community Schools (ABCS), was founded in 1994 and successfully preserved these 20 acres for public use. In 2007 ABCS and Norchester Garden Club (NGC) members developed, and still maintain, the Butterfly Garden. NGC projects, meeting notices, and programs are reported here and the public is welcome to participate. Email questions or comments to ABCS.Park@att.net

It's Been 15 Years
It is very hard to believe that it was 15 years ago, in 2007 that members of the Norchester Garden Club cleared an empty space at the South end of Matzke Park and created the Butterfly Garden. We stopped by yesterday to add a bit of soil in the bare spots, and thanks to the indefatigable Miss Janet, the NE corner is being prepared for where the memorial to our veterans will be developed. If you would like a 16 min. slide show of the garden's development, Just click https://youtu.be/YSDtotJKnuI The music is soothing and many of the folks are still keeping things nice for the many visitors.

Valentine Fun
The Norchester Garden Club Ladies know how to have fun!
With Hearts.. not just Flowers.
During the February meeting they enjoyed making valentines that were to be given to Nursing Home patients to be placed on patient trays.
Refreshments and door prizes are always a part of our meetings.
On March 3rd, at our next meeting, we will have a program on soils then we will be potting Plumeria's.
